    • Indigenous Information :
      • Programmes and Services for Indigenous Australians
        ‘The Australian Government, through the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations [DEWR], provides a wide range of employment and business assistance for Indigenous Australians. To find out what is specifically available to you, please select the appropriate category.’ Also has links to other specialist areas.
      • Getting It Right
        A range of information for both employers and indigenous [potential] employees. This is from the Grow Sydney ACC site but would be applicable in other areas as well. Has guides, information on benefits of employing indigenous staff, services and workshops just to name a few areas covered.
    • Local Government Careers
      While this is a New South Wales site, the careers would be similar in other states. Lists types, why work there, tips, profiles, links, etc..
    • Logistics Careers [Australian Logistics Council]
      Covers information about Careers, Career Expos, associations, positions, useful links and more.
    • Science Careers :
      • Faces of Science Gallery
        Introduces you to scientists in a wide range of scientific fields from Biochemist to Palaeontologist [including a Science Communicator], to provide you with real-life examples of science careers to choose from.
      • Science As a Career
        A brief collection of annotated links [one of which appears above] providing information about science as a career area.
    • Youth 2 Youth
      A portal by young people for young people who are interested in being entrepreneurs. They claim it ‘creates and manages learning and connection services for Australian young people.’ Worth a visit if you want to be an entrepreneur.

      Surprisingly done by a clothing group, but still containing a range of common sense ideas regarding many aspects of interviews. You don’t even have to buy clothes from them !

      Find out the ‘good oil’ on how to handle interviews. Try a virtual interview and see how you go. Find out about body language and other ‘giveaways’.

      A useful tool for those preparing for interviews. Select from a range of potential questions under several headings, then you practise providing answers. There are hints available to guide you as well as discussions of what such a question would involve, answer assistance and more.
