We have endeavoured to include not only a core of essential information and links to matters educational, but also a range of other information which is also educational in the broader sense of the word.

As you can tell from the number of links [top, left], we are continually adding to the site. If you have any suggestions, or other thoughts, or knowledge of changes to links about which you are aware, please take the time to tell us.

What’s Different ?

The following, specific modifications have been made with this update :

A range of pages, core and other, have been link-checked, ‘dead’ links removed and other links updated;
The Sofweb portal previously linked to Victorian education has finally closed, with material now being included directly through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development site. We have hopefully completed all the changes, but will continue to monitor our site to ensure we pick up any we may have missed.
Links to further items requested through the site search, and which have not previously existed, have been added.
A new page has been added in the Australian History series - Minerals & Industrialisation. This is only a beginning, not a final product, and will continue to be worked on in the near future.
Last update, we worked on all Career pages. For this update we have considerably expanded the content of most pages through the addition of a large range of links. Why not check the scope of the additions ?
We have revamped the Homeschool information and expanded it considerably, now having two pages - Homeschooling, which covers all the core information, and Homeschooling Resources, which lists a much more extensive range of Australian and international resources and sources. We hope people find this even more useful.
The Computer Software page has been reviewed, with a range of additional sites being included.
We have also been doing a range of background work which, while it will not be visible, will hopefully expand the value and use of the site.
Thank you once again to all those who have suggested sites for inclusion, or corrections to existing links. We really appreciate your contact.

The Australian Atlas of Mineral Resources, Mines, and Processing Centres

- A big name for a big project ! If you want to know anything about mines, minerals and the mineral industry then this is a good starting point.

Find information on Australia’s identified mineral resources, the History of Australia’s Minerals Industry, the chance to have an interactive experience using Google Earth and then develop understanding and knowledge through Fact Sheets and ‘Rock Files’

Use the Links section to access a range of animations and movies, information on mining methods and educational links.

You can even find information on jobs and access job sites through the Jobs section.

Altogether, an excellent, extensive presentation developed by Geoscience Australia, the Minerals Council of Australia and the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.
