certificate recognises the schooling achievements of students who have impairments or difficulties in learning. Before 2008, the
certificate was known as the Certificate of Post-Compulsory School Education.

South Australia
Years Covered :
Junior Years : Tears 7 to 10
Senior Years : Years 11 and 12
Minimum Leaving Age :
16 years of age. This will change to 17 in 2009,
unless they are in paid employment prior to this, i.e., earning or learning, under new legislation just
introduced.
Comprehensive, District, Secondary Colleges : 7 to 10 and 11 to 12.

Achievement Improvement Monitor The AIM
program, providing an indication of how well the literacy and numeracy skills of students are developing. Students across
Victoria in Years 7 and 9 undertake the testing.

Western Australia

The end of the school year in which they turn 16 years of age. This will go to
17 in 2008. Young people must be in school, training, an apprenticeship or a traineeship, or approved full-time
employment - or combinations of part-time education/training and employment.
