'Queensland State Education  2010' Document. p 15 states:  "Lifelong learning in formal and informal settings, problem solving and critical thinking are the critical characteristics of the knowledge economy and the information society."

The Attributes of the Life long Learner are:

* Knowledgeable person with deep understanding

* Complex thinker

* Creative person

* Active investigator

* Effective communicator

* Participant in an interdependant world

* Reflective and self-directed learner
