The unit samples provided predominantly address Education Queensland's Eight Key Learning Areas (KLA's). Most have direct links to "Core Learning Outcomes" identified within the related Syllabus documents. Some units apply to individual KLA's whilst others favour an integrated approach spanning a number of KLA's. The units have been sourced from teachers within the district, curriculum advisers and other willing parties.
In 2008 Queensland teachers are being asked to align curriculum planning, teaching, assessment and reporting with the new "Queensland Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting" framework (QCAR). Click on the link in the left hand column to access a QCAR outline and examples. NB This link will be activated in the second week of December 2007.
