TUESDAY by David Wiesner (PICTURE BOOK)

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Perhaps aliens in a UFO ? No it's a host of frogs on lilypads, flying gleefully out of a swamp one Tuesday evening. They spend the evening cavorting through the town, largely un-noticed by the townsfolk . Just before dawn their "alien adventure" comes to an end, as the lilypads return to earth and the frogs return to the swamp. Puzzled FBI investigators find little evidence of any "alien invasion" - just some lilypads in unexpected places. What will happen next Tuesday? This book won the Caldecott Medal for outstanding illustrations.
