The Importance of the Properties of Water to Life

Water

http://www.thinkdeeper.com/poetry/water.html

Condensation clings to foliage,
Forming pearls of liquid that sparkle,
Slowly they roll, then, fall to the ground,
Giving life to frog, fern, and flower alike.

Vapor rises from the water's surface,
Making the world seem to be a dream,
A fish jumps, but I cannot see it for the mist,
I can only hear, everthing is hidden in the gray.

Snow shines white even in the dark hours,
Reflecting the light of the moon and stars,
I sit in cold softness, I feel the silence,
I strain to hear, there is only the sound of cold.

Rain falls from heaven, waking up old life,
The sound of it like a drum calling to me,
"See, winter is over, wake from your sleep."
I am thankful for the rain, it gives me hope.
