The Task
1. Copy the following paragraph (in the box) and save it onto YOUR FLOPPY DISK as a file called "EXER1A".
This activity is going to be used to help me learn some of the features word processors. When I have finished, I will be experienced in moving around the screen using the Mouse, the Space Bar, the Arrow Keys, the Tab Key and the Return Key (sometimes called the "Enter" Key).
I will also become familiar with the different editing features of a word processor and when each should be used. When it is finished I will save it onto my data disk as EXER1A.
I will then make changes outlined below in step 2 and save it as "EXER1B"
2. Once you have SAVED your work, make the following changes and then save the modified version as "EXER1B".
These are the changes you should make .....
- Change the word "activity" in the first line to "exercise".
- Change "is going to" in the first line to "will".
- Insert the word "very" in the second line between "be" and "experienced".
- Insert another blank line between each paragraph.
- Change the first letter of each word in the first line to a capital letter.
- Add your NAME and ADDRESS to the top of the document.
**** REMEMBER: Save this modified version as "EXER1B" ****
3. Print out a copy of BOTH documents, add a COVER sheet and submit the completed exercise to your teacher for marking.
NOTE:
