This is a GROUP project in which you will work closely with 2, 3, or 4 other people in the class to plan, develop and present a digital package (ie not just verbal, or on paper) based on your research of a topic associated with this subject. The group is required to use the Technology Cycle (Design, Make, Appraise, Market) to develop the presentation.

Within your group and after consultation with your teacher, you are to design and create a web site for a company of your choice. Your teacher will act as a consultant for the company, who you are designing the site for. During the development of your web site you will need to contact the consultant and give regular feedback as to the progress that you have made.

You are expected to include:

• A proposal for the development of the web site.
• A design document to include content, screen drawings, flowcharts or schematics.
• A plan of production activities, sequencing and logistics before production begins.
• A report on the completed product, its marketing points and processes used in the development of the product, including an evaluation of those processes.
• An electronic copy of the product.
• A Group diary recording decisions made and work completed.
• All associated notes, diagrams, etc generated during project development.
• All reports and communications made between you and you consultant.
• An outline detailing each group members role and duties.
• A log detailing the groups and individual progress made towards the completion of the site.

Evidence of planning (e.g. notes, clippings) must be submitted with the final presentation. References must be included for any sources that have been used.

Your teacher will provide guidance about the roles of each member in the group. Each person is expected to take on all the responsibilities of their role and ensure that all the material they are responsible for is completed on time.

This Task is about working in groups and developing the skills needed to work with others. It is important that each member of the group has clearly defined roles and responsibilities and that deadlines are written down and adhered to. Planning meetings and progress reports to the rest of the group are vital. You may need to arrange a formal time to meet on a regular basis with other members of the group.

You may also need to arrange meeting times during recess, lunch breaks, before and after school.
