Teacher's Notes
Christmas Treasure Hunt
The aim of the Treasure Hunt is to familiarise the students with the use of a browser, to retrieve information from selected sites, and record them on a retrieval sheet. Besides using & consolidating computer skills, it also covers part of the Social Studies curriculum involving the investigation of Special Days. Using the Christmas theme, it is also assumed that the children will learn some facts before unknown to them, & will enjoy themselves!
These computer skills will be covered by the student completing the Treasure Hunt, & is part of our school's skills checklist which can be downloaded if you click here. (It is a Word 97 document & takes a while to download.)
