Where can I find Microsoft Powerpoint?
|

|
Powerpoint is a slideshow. The user creates a whole
series of slides which can then be displayed on the
computer.
|

|
When you begin to create your Powerpoint
presentation you will be given the choice of a number
of different pre-generated standardized designs. In
most situations it is best to choose a blank slide
format.
|

|
Powerpoint works by using slides. Each slide is
numbered so that it's position in the show can be
changed. There are a number of views which can help
with this.
|

|
Each individual slide can have data presented in the
form of text, tables, graphs, pictures or word-art.
Start by selecting the appropriate tool for the data
type, drag open a frame to hold the data and then
add the data to the frame.
|

|
Powerpoint lets the user dictate exactly how and
when the contents of each frame will appear on the
screen. For example text from a frame can be made to
fly across the page, or spin like a top or just fade
onto the screen.
This feature can be combined with in-built sound
effects to create a spectacular presentation.
|

|
An even more effective presentation can be made if
your school is lucky enough to have a lightpro. A
lightpro is essentially a high-tech overhead
projector which allows anything which can be
presented on computer to be shown on a large
screen. It must also be pointed out that they are very
expensive.
|

|
Any presentation created using powerpoint can be
saved as a web page. This means that all the
necessary HTML is automatically created for you. It
is quite easy to do, simply select save as a web page
from the file menu.

When two or more pages are saved in this manner
they can be linked using hyperlinks.
