How to join
Contact the club President to join or book
into a Come and Try session first. Yes, there
is paperwork (in triplicate), but we'll help you out there. ;-)
Membership Benefits
Membership of Brisbane Canoeing provides...
A venue where members can:
- make use of club boats and equipment, (including paddles and life
jackets)
- store their own boats and equipment,
- learn good canoeing skills through sound instruction in a safe environment,
- receive coaching from experienced, qualified members,
- avail themselves of structured training programmes,
- access instructional programmes and events organised by Queensland
Canoeing Inc, to which the club is affiliated,
- compete in well organised events run by other affiliated clubs, against
canoeists of similar age and skills,
- join in club run family recreation days,
- gain experience and knowledge of our waterways,
- enjoy this healthy pastime/sport in the company of others with the
same interest,
- assistance with the transportation of boats to events.
- Members who store their boat in our shed enjoy insurance in their
storage fee.
Fees for 2004
Club membership is due each year in January.
- Pro-Rata rates
- listed below are for new members joining part way through the year
and are based on the pro-rata reductions allowed by the Queensland Canoeing
Inc and Australian Canoeing Inc.
- Second club membership rates
- are available to those who are already financial members of a club
affiliated with Queensland Canoeing Inc.
- Full year recreation
- Is for paddlers who wish to paddle through club or QC activities.
- Full year competition
- Is for paddlers who attend state and club run races for competition.
- Short term
- 3 month membership is available ONLY with specific programs run by
the club and can only be taken once in a calendar year. It can be upgraded
to a full membership.
- Social
- Is for non paddlers wishing to be supporting members/officials of
clubs.

Family discount
|
When 2 seniors from the one immediate family join for a full year,
a $20 discount from full year membership applies to each additional
junior member from that family.

Other club fees:
Key deposit: $20 (Subject to safety checklist.)
Boat storage: $60 per year (Club and private boats stored in our shed
are covered by insurance.)
Hare and Hound Handicap: Gold coin donation
Most coaching programs: POA
