Compacting your Database ...
If you have been working on a large database, adding Forms, changing Table designs, experimenting with Queries, etc, the Access database file can get very large. Even though you "delete" objects and data, Access maintains a record of everything you do. Your database file can still be very large, even though it may contain very little actual information.
You can remove all unused controls and information from the Access file by "compacting" the database.
Go to Tools/Options... Click on the General tab and tick the box next to Compact on Close
The file will now be significantly smaller.
