Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo
(Cacatua Galerita)


Description
The sulphur crested cockatoo has white feathers and has a yellow coloured crest on its head.

Voice
It makes a very loud 'arch arch' type of sound.

Habitat
The sulpur-crested cockatoo can be found in open areas in parts of northern, eastern and southern Australia
 

Nest
It nests in large old trees with hollows, often near water.

Food
It feeds on seeds, bulbs and roots

Behaviour
It flies in pairs and in groups
