Male or female?
In some species of butterflies the males and females are quite different. Visit the following web site to see the differences.

Common Brown - the image of the male is on the left and the female is on the right

Orange Palm-dart butterfly - the upperside and underside of a male and the upperside of a female

Amaryllis Azure butterfly - the images on the left hand side of the page are the males and those on the right are the females. The blue is the upperside and the brown is the underside of the butterflies

Caper White butterfly - the images on the top are of the upperside and underside of the male and those on the bottom are of the upperside and underside of the female

Choose either the Monarch, the Morpho, the Common Brown, the Orange Palm-dart, the Amaryllis Azure, the Caper White,  or the Swallowtail butterflies that you  have seen and draw both the male and female butterflies of this species.
