Mathematics
Students refine their concepts of size and measurable attributes and units of comparison....

Students use direct measurement strategies and relationships between particular attributes to quantify the size of 2-D figures ... They identify, plan and act to address measurement problems.

Students use their number sense to refine their ability to estimate, calculate and present....

STUDENT TASKS
Open the Length template.
Look at the top line and estimate how many elephants, or other KidPix stamps would fit along it.
Type in your estimate.
Fill the line with stamps and check.
Type in the exact amount and compare with your estimate.
Select other stamps for the next two lines. Estimate and check each time.
Make 2 or more lines of your own choice in length and colour and repeat the above procedure.
