Parts of a Seed

 
This activity, using KidPix as a learning and thinking tool, has been aligned with the SACSA frameworks and is intended to provide the learning described below.

STUDENT TASKS
Open a new blank page in KidPix.
Type the heading Parts of a Seed across the top of the page.
Use the line tool and draw a straight line down the centre of the page, starting underneath the heading (Hold down the shift key to make a perfectly straight line)
On the left hand side of your page draw an outline of your soaked bean seed. Use the whole space.
Select the moving van tool and use the magnet to copy and paste your seed outline onto the right hand side of your page. You should now have two identical seed outlines.
On the left outline draw the details of what your seed looks like on the outside. Add any details or markings on the skin. 
On the right hand side draw what you see on the inside of your soaked bean seed after you have opened it up.
Label the root and the shoot and any other parts you see .
Add your name.
