 A Definition

 

Learning objects are digital resources that provide content to support learning.

 

They are usually provided in a multimedia  format and may consist of any of the following components - sound, graphic, text, video and animation – or a combination of these and are often interactive.

 

Learning objects are reusable, meaning that the same learning object can be used in multiple contexts for multiple purposes.
