What do you know about South Australia's birds? Do you know what they look like, where they live, what they eat and what their nests look like? In this assignment you will be finding out some interesting things about a few of our local birds by looking at some web sites and you will be presenting what you have learnt using Microsoft Publisher.

In this assignment you will be able to
  • choose one of six South Australian birds to research on the web
  • copy and paste notes about your bird into a data collection grid
  • use your notes to prepare an illustrated fact sheet about your bird that another student can read and understand.
  • complete a self-assessment sheet to help you reflect on what you have learnt.

Print the activities list and the evaluation rubric before you start so that you can tick the activities you complete and can understand how your teacher will mark your work.
