Please Don'ts

Devote time to getting folders organised at the beginning

Panic - start small and manageable

Delegate responsibility for tasks from the start

Plough on alone - there is always someone to support you

Develop dialogue with those with technical knowledge about server space and stability

Persist with a page that is not working - unlike word documents, web pages are often better started again!

Demonstrate the required skills

Discuss copyright with students, parents and carers

Protocol and policy - ensure that publication of the work meets agreed and professional parameters

Design an agreement

Presume access - if at all possible consider all users - consider equity

Disseminate information

Publish online without permission particularly photographs

Develop peer support for teaching on at the point of need

Private vs Public - get the work out there to be shared if possible

Decide and discuss early on content and expectations

Pontificate - although one person should oversee pal up with others if possible

Data back up regularly
