Today Mr Fletcher dropped me off at Year 2. I’d been staying with Ms Beilby in her house in the hills. Ms Lewis took me out of the plastic carry bag and the girls made me feel welcome. But they sat me in a bucket because they couldn’t find anything else and everyone laughed at me! I felt a bit sad. But then Zahra was very kind – she put her slinky under my chin to help my sore neck stay up. It felt very comfortable and I could see everybody working hard. At recess time I went to the Library and played UNO with four of the girls. At lunchtime everyone wanted to play with Amber because she was looking after me. At the playground I went on the monkey bars and did a flip. I played basketball with some of the girls and I threw a goal! |

At the end of lunch I was a partner with Lorenza and Haanah. We went to a Jump Rope For Heart performance and saw lots of good tricks that you can do with a skipping rope. Just before home time Ms Lewis pulled names out of a container to see who would take me home each night. Chloe, Amber, Emily and Yen were the lucky ones. I went home with Chloe and her Mum and sister and her friend Samantha. I had a great day with 2CL and I hope tomorrow will be even better! Ms Lewis took endless photos of the girls and me. She says everyone is going to be in a photo with me! I feel so popular! And Ms Lewis loves having me in her class because I don’t hum! |
