Shirley Valentine Bear’s visit to St Columba.
|
St Columba is a joint Catholic/Anglican school which is situated at Andrews Farm, which is 40 km. North of Adelaide. It is an R-11school with Year 12 students beginning next year and consists of approximately 1100 students. Whilst at St Columba, Shirley Valentine Bear stayed in Mr Keane’s year Two class for two weeks. She joined in all class activities, and 10 children had the opportunity to take Shirley Bear home with them for a sleepover. This is our Diary of Shirley Bear’s visit. |

Monday 28th of April Shirley Bear arrived at St Columba, but all of the students were still on holidays. Shirley spent the day with Mr Keane and all the other staff members at the school doing some professional development, I think Shirley found this to be quite boring. On Monday night Shirley came home with Mr Keane and she met “Bonnie” the Jack Russel Terrier. She played eight ball and watched the taped replay of the Crows vs Port Power game, before going to bed. |

Tuesday 29th of April: Shirley Bear met all the children in the class for the first time, and we all thought that she was so cute, soft and cuddly. She joined in all of our class activities and was looked after by Kaylee and Alex for the day. She went to a computing lesson where she learnt about clip art. She also went to singing with all of the Year Two’s. Everyone loved having Shirley in our class. |

Tuesday 29th Shirley’s sleepover visit to Aimee’s house. I was so lucky to be the first person in my class to take Shirley home to meet my mum and dad and have a sleepover. While Shirley was at my house we watched Big Brother that my mum had recorded for me, she really liked it. After watching T.V it was time to do my homework. Shirley sat at the dinner table and watched me do it. She only helped me a little bit. After I finished my homework we jumped on the trampoline, played in my bedroom, and I showed Shirley the pool. She wanted to go for a swim but mum said it was too cold. For dinner we had pork schnitzel and vegetables we both liked it a lot. Before bath time dad took some photos of us sitting on the sofa, we watched more T.V then it was bedtime. We listened to a bedtime story but Shirley was not ready to go to sleep so she stayed up cuddling mum. When mum went to bed Shirley came to bed with me. The next day I took her back to school. |
