What is power?

It can be called a 'force' or 'energy'.

What types of power are there?

Coal, petrol, gas, electricity, nuclear, solar and wind

Not all these power sources can be used again and again (renewable). Some are found under the earth and ocean and once they are used, they are gone forever.

Many are also expensive to make or use and unhealthy for the environment.

How do we use power?

bulletto heat water
bulletto heat or cool homes
bulletlight
bulletuse machines in the home - TV, washing machine, fridge etc
bulletto power machines in industry to make things
bulletto make transport run - cars, trains, planes, tractors, ships
bulletto make electricity

Follow the links above to find out more about the different types of power.
