Privacy Statement

The statement that follows this introduction outlines the approach OzEdweb takes towards your privacy. This is somewhat complicated by the fact that OzEdweb is part of the TeachersNet WebRing and statistics are kept by TeachersNet via monitoring of this ring, that OzEdweb does not collect.

To simplify this, I have written the following statement which combines the activities of TeachersNet and OzEdweb, but identifies any information collated by TeachersNet and not by OzEdweb.

Activities undertaken by both TeachersNet and OzEdweb are in normal print and activities undertaken by TeachersNet but not by OzEdweb are highlighted in bold blue print.

Both OzEdweb and the Highlights TeacherNet Web Ring operate by the same criteria, as follows:

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes the visitor's domain name and e-mail address (where possible).

We collect the domain name and e-mail address of visitors to our Web page, the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our Bulletin Boards and Discussion Lists, aggregate information on what pages visitors access, the referring page used to reach our site, and information volunteered by anyone completing an online form or survey.
