between eight State/Territory based Regional Networks consisting of the
37 Australian Universities, CSIRO, DSTO, ANSTO and AIMS.

Teachers First
This project, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Employment,
Education, Training and Youth Affairs, involves a group of Year 3
teachers who will identify literacy assessment tools used in the
classroom and examine how the information gathered supports their
planning and programming. Information is organised under publications,
containing reports and case studies; assessment strategies; teacher
chat; and participants contacts.

(FOLP)
The main focus of FOLP has been the
Education Network Australia (EdNA), a collaborative initiative involving the
Commonwealth, State and Territory government and non government authorities, in
all sectors of education and training. The aim is to maximise the educational
benefits of information technology and to avoid duplication of cost and effort
between the various sectors and systems.
Queensland
School Curriculum Council
The Queensland School Curriculum Council is an independent statutory
authority established by the Education (School Curriculum P-10) Act
1996. The Council's function is to create and provide high quality
curriculum and testing materials for use in Queensland schools. 'Our aim
is to contribute significantly to the education of every student from
Preschool to Year 10. The Council's Web site provides up-to-date
information on the progress of curriculum development and assessment for
the P to 10 years of schooling'.

Curriculum Corporation works in the education sector and is owned by
all Australian State, Territory and Commonwealth Ministers of Education.
The company develops products and services to help schools improve
student learning. It is the premier national organisation providing
