Steps
1. Select the elements to be used on the
page.
Place the most important element at or near the optical centre.
Attract the eye to this element by using a strong contrast.
2. Collect the remaining elements into
logical groups.
Position these groups, lining up edges of elements.
3. Choose and repeat some unifying
elements.
4. Add one or two contrasting elements.
5. Select a set of at most three
typefaces. Ensure these are either harmonious
or contrasting.
Use these consistently throughout the document.

Colour can affect the mood of a document.
