Ancient Egypt
This excellent web site is both attractive and informative and will appeal greatly to teachers and students alike. Produced by the British Museum this site contains information on topics including temples, trades, Egyptian life, and the Pharaohs.

Concise Chinese History
The history of China. This mainly text based resource emanates from the University of Maryland.  It has articles relating to The Ancient Dynasties, The Imperial Era, The Emergence Of Modern China, Republican China and The Peoples Republic. 

The First Fleet
This site is provided as a community service by The University Of Wollongong.  The site has a superb database on the First Fleet which makes for an excellent focus for historical investigation using information technology. 

World War I
An excellent web site that contains information on The Great War.  Move to the bottom of the opening page to find good starting points and information of interest.

The Commonwealth War Grave Commission
The CWGC is responsible for the maintenance of war graves  of soldiers of the Commonwealth killed in combat. This site has a search facility that allows the user to locate records relating to those buried or commemorated on monuments where no grave exists. 

The History Place
An American site for history teachers.  Look here for online material on The American Revolution, The Civil War, 20th Century History, WWII and Vietnam.

The History Net
Another good site for history online this site is maintained by specialist publishers Primedia. As well as links to World History, Eye Witness Accounts, Aviation and Technology etc. this site has weekly features.
