NOTES:

  • Acid Express is a free, entry level version of the Acid program, which is available for FREE from Sony Media.
  • The full versions of Acid are professional music arrangement tools used in industry to create advertising and corporate video sountracks. The latest version of the software is called Acid Music Studio which can also synchronise with video files for displaying on screen while you work on the soundtrack.
  • With Acid, you no longer need instrumental skills to create impressive music. As they create their tracks, students will quickly develop a real understanding of the concepts of music. A good acid track requires much thought in terms of dynamics, structure, balance, harmony, texture, timbre, performing media, etc.
