Lesson Structure

In every 80 minute lesson, students follow this lesson structure.

EITHER:- 15 mins Professional reading

Students are to read and summarise music and technology articles on the world wide web or in magazines and post a summary with the following information to the Article Reviews page.

Information to include:-

  • Article title and author
  • Website and URL of article
  • Brief summary of article
  • One new thing learned from reading article

OR:- 15 mins Musicianship Skills Drill

Students practice musicianship skills using the following instructional software packages:-

  • Music Ace - music theory
  • Music Teacher - piano keyboard skills
  • Typing - computer keyboard skills
  • Online Aural Training - listening skills

PLUS:-

5 mins Questions and Answers
50 mins Lesson Body
10 mins Log Book Entry
