This is the third in the series of Tashi stories. Tashi goes into the forest to investigate the ghost lights and finds himself face to face with the ghost monsters. Wise-As-An-Owl suggested the men in the village organise a great beating of saucepan lids to get rid of the ghost monsters. How does he think this plan would work? If you were Wise-As-An-Owl what would you suggest?
| If I was Wise-as-an-owl I would get the dragon with red
whiskers to gobble the moon up because the ghosts only come out

| He thought the noise would scare the ghosts away. If we were the

| Ghosts like quiet places like graveyards, so
they would not go near a noisy village . If we were Wise as an owl

| To scare the ghosts away, we would
light fires around the houses so that the ghosts couldn't get

| Wise-As-An-Owl thought the noise would help scare
the ghosts. We had troubling choosing the best idea so here are
both our ideas. I would talk it out with the ghosts and agree to
have half of the forest each. Olivia

2. What did the ghosts do to scare the villagers?

3. Explain how Tashi was able to call up the Red-Whiskered Dragon-Ghost?
| Tashi tricked the ghosts because the red-whiskered dragon-ghost was
really an eclipse blocking out the moon The Ingleburn Rappers |

It wasn't really a dragon ghost, it was the
eclipse. Tashi tricked the ghosts by telling them that the moon
would be swallowed by the red whiskered dragon ghost. Then he had a
lot of luck when he was counting to three and waiting for the earth
to go over the moon or else the trick would not have worked.

4. In return for stopping the Red-Whiskered Dragon-Ghost, the ghosts gave Tashi the recipe for Ghost Pie. What is in it?
| We couldn't decide on the real recipe because there
could have been so many different ingredients so our teacher picked
out the 5 she liked best from our list. Marshmallows ;white
chocolate ; ghosts eyes ;ghost skin and vinegar. The
vinegar would make everything bubble while it was cooking. Rockingham Rappers |

1. Tashi got past the rock guarding the Baron's money by eating some Ghost Pie. How would the Baron get past it?
| The Baron would get the tigers to push the boulder out of the

| The Baron had a secret pass word. Maybe it
was "Money" or "Sesame" or Open Big Rock"

2. Why was the Wicked Baron so angry when he left Li Tam's house?
| The Baron was angry because he had been tricked
by Tashi and the villagers. Rockingham Rappers |
| The Baron was angry when he left Li Tam's house because Li Tam had
a piece of paper saying that she could keep the house so the Baron

| The baron was really angry when he left the house because Tashi's
Aunty had a shown him a piece of paper from the old banker saying
she could live in the house as long as she wanted to. The Ingleburn Rappers |
3. Look at the picture on p.35. Where is Tashi? How can you tell?

Tashi is at Jack's house.He is just about to knock
on the door.

4. The Baron got his pig pile of gold by tricking an old banker, stealing and other nasty measures. Does that make it okay for Tashi to steal it for the villagers? Why?

This was a really good question because we
didn't agree with the teacher. Our teacher said"maybe
Tashi was greedy and wicked just like the Baron " and
that maybe stealing in any situation is not right but we reckon if
you steal from greedy people like the baron
and give to the poor then it's ok . Just like Robin Hood did. The
Baron should not have stolen from the villagers in the first
place.

| Yes it was all right for Tashi to take back the gold because it
really belonged to the villagers and Tashi village needs the

| We think it was OK for Tashi to think up all the nasty tricks and clever ideas because he was always helping other people in trouble Ingleburn Rappers |

| No. Even if the Baron got the big pile of gold doesn't mean that
