Jack has a new friend who comes from a land far away and has many adventures to tell.
1. Who did Tashi ask for a friend like Jack.?

| He asked the fairy for a friend and she granted his wish. The fairy had wings. She was small and looked like a butterfly. She was very beautiful. She had a beautiful dress on. Tashi asked a little fairy that had butterfly wings for a friend

2. Look at the pictures on pages 12 and 13 and tell us what Tashi did while he was invisible or look at the picture on page 15 and describe what the woman as small as a cricket predicted for Tashi's future.
| Some of us think that he put the ring on the warthog's tail and
some of us think that Tashi ties a knot in the tail. It's a bit hard

| What did Tashi do when he was invisible on page 12 and 13? He
picked up a ring from the bottom of a river bed. When he put the
ring on to his finger he turned invisible. Then he tied a knot in
the warthog's tail. The warthog then ran away puzzled with this

| When he put the ring on, a wild pig came along and charged at him.

| Tashi found a ring in the pond and when he put the ring on his
finger he became invisible. While he was invisible he tied a knot in
a wild boar's tail for a joke. He was laughing as the boar ran

| One day Tashi saw a ring in the pond. He reached over to get it.
Then Tashi put the ring on himself. Just then Tashi was
invisible.Tashi tied the ring on the wild pig.Then the wild pig was

| The woman said the warlord is looking for you run away. The dragon
has a friend the giant ,so becareful. Your mum and dad have a new

| While he was invisible Tashi teased the warthog. In his future he

3. Who are the people in the picture on p7? Why are they sad?
| The answer is Tashi's parents. They had no money and they had to

4. Is Tashi Jack's real or imaginary friend? Why?
| We are sure Tashi is real because Tashi came over for dinner to

Tashi tells Jack how he saved his village by tricking the very last dragon of all.
1. How did Tashi trick the dragon?
| Tashi saw the smoke on the hill, he went up to find out what was in the cave. He saw that the dragon was eating one of his dad's pigs. He talked to the dragon. the dragon said I don't care. He thought of an idea. He took the dragon to the river. He said look down and you will see the dragon. He slipped off the edge. The was a big cloud of smoke and the dragon was dead. 3E GKOEs Edgehill State School |
| Tashi used his Grandmother's warning to trick the dragon into
the river. The dragon went too close to the edge because it was

| Tashi tricked the dragon into falling into the river because
when he saw his reflection he got a big surprise and the crumbling

| Tashi tricked the dragon by
taking it the the bend in the river and getting him to look over
the edge. He saw his reflection and he thought that it was another
dragon. Tashi thought about what his grandmother had said to him

He told him to go the edge of
the crumbly bank of the river. |

Tashi tricked the dragon by telling him there was
another dragon down by the river. So the dragon followed Tashi
down to the river and the dragon saw another dragon in the water
and the dragon in the water did exactly what the other dragon did.

2. Why was the dragon all alone?

3. If the picture on p.50 was in colour, what would the dragon look like?
| We think the dragon would be light green, blue and purple dots,

| We think that dragons should be green, white and
yellow or red or orange or black. they can be any colour because

| Some people in our class think that the dragon could be green and yellow, maroon, purple and blue, grey, polka dotted, orange and red or lots of other colours. | We all drew pictures to give our own ideas. Thirteen of us drew
green dragons with coloured spots. Three of us drew multi-coloured
dragons. Two dragons were red. One was orange, one purple and one

4. In Tashi and the Giants, it is clear that the dragon is still alive. How did he survive the river?
