Read Around Australia 2001
is designed to enrich and enhance your students' literacy development
by using Information Technology to unite students across Australia

in celebrating the joy of reading.

Students can explore new horizons
by reading a variety of authors and genres
and sharing their discoveries
by participating in a variety of actual and online activities.

Teachers can also enhance their professional development
as RAA provides access to a wider variety of ideas and strategies
which can be integrated into regular teaching programs.

You may take part in any of the activities at any time although we will be having a special Celebration Day on October 22 to celebrate
International School Libraries Day.

we will put your contact details on the Get Connected page
so you can contact other schools doing the same activity.

Read Around Australia went on-line
in June 2000 and 15 000 students
around the country and from overseas
participated in the activities.
