For all you Asterix fans your dreams have come true. The next Asterix book  after three years has come out! Asterix and the Actress is a thrilling read with fights and beat ups. The basic plot follows: it is Asterix and Obelix's birthday and their mothers decide to get them some valuable gifts. They trick a Roman centurion into trading his jewelled sword and golden helmet. When Caesar finds out he is furious because it is illegal to trade Caesar's gifts. Because the local Gauls are practically invincible due to the chief's special potions, he needs to use cunning. Caesar sends an actress to impersonate Panacea the Gaul (see The Great Divide.). The actress endeavours to trick Asterix and Obelix out of the items but to find out the end you must read the book.

We think that this book is an excellent and humorous read. We would recommend this book for people aged 8 to 80! We would give this book four and a half out of five!!
