Koala Fever
Justin D'Ath

The story is about your average boy Forest Greene (Rainforest). But his life is completely different to most people. He lives with his mother, father and sister Sunny (Sunbeam) in the middle of a forest in a small cabin surrounded by koalas.

One day using the frog scope he invented for science, Forest finds a comet in the sky. Sunny, being the first to see it won the science award and also found out the Sun is about to be extinguished by a giant comet. After the sun does disappear, the only one who can save the world from the big freeze is Forest. Can he save the world while living with more than 100 animals?

Koala Fever is a good book which contains laughter, mysteries and some sadness. In this book, it is easy to sense the atmosphere of where and how the story is set. You can believe the characters and what they do, except that this family is weirder than others

I would recommend this book for other children my age. It's hard to put the book down because it's got such a great and complex climax. The language is interesting because he made the book easy to find the humorous bits and to find out what's happening at that point of the book.

This is probably a read- alone book; because the print is nice and easy to read but the story is  complex in some places.
