What's in the River Solo 186291446X |
The author of "What's in the River?" is Janeen Brian and the illustrator is Janine Dawson. The publisher is Scholastic. The story is about some animals who find some strange objects in the great green river. They don't know what the objects are or what to do with them, and they don't know where they have come from. So the animals try and work out who the objects belong to and try and get them back to their owners because they don't belong in the great green river. I think this book would suit young readers. It has an interesting story line because it tells the reader not to leave rubbish lying about because it is not good for the environment. The words in this book are not tricky and the style of the print is easy to read for the reader. There are a lot of illustrations throughout this book. They are all clearly drawn and relate to what is written on those pages. The layout assists the reader because the words on those pages match the pictures. "What's in the river?" is a book that you can read to an audience or easily read to yourself. I think "What's in the river?" is a quick, easy and enjoyable book. |
