'What to expect when the New Baby comes Home' by Heidi Murkoff.  Published by Harper Collins.

This book is part of a series of books called "What to expect".
This book gives answers to questions that children may ask about a new baby. For example: What do new babies look like? and Why do new babies get some many presents?

It is most suitable for parents and probably wouldn't be borrowed by children if in a school library.
We found there was too much information to read even though the information was good.
The information was factual and did answer questions children may ask about a new baby.
We didn't find the book very interesting to read.
This book would have to be read to the child by a parent.
The text in parts was suitable for children and written so they could understand it.
The pages are well set out with information, pictures and fun ideas to do with the children on the bottom of each page.
There is a character 'Angus' that appears on each page and this would appeal to small children.
The pictures were colourful and interesting and children would enjoy looking at them.
We would only recommend this book to parents!

'What to expect at Bedtime' by Heidi Murkoff.  Published by Harper Collins.

This book is part of a series of books called "What to expect".
It is an information book for parents!
This book gives parents information they can share with their children if they ask questions about Bedtime.
We found the book interesting because we could relate to some of the questions about going to bed. It has many interesting facts.
This is a book that parents would use.  Children would not read this book by themselves.
The pictures are bright and interesting and children would like them.
There is a little character 'Angus' who appears on each page with little hints and ideas. This part of the book is really cute and interesting.  Children would enjoy and relate to the little dog Angus.
This book would not be suitable for children to read alone.
We would recommend this book to parents who may be having trouble with their children not wanting to go to bed.

Parents would have to share the book with their children.
It is not a book that children would use at school, it is more suited to a home situation.
