And Baby Makes Two is an expressive story about a teenage girl's pregnancy,
and the harsh realities she is forced to face. Lana Spriggs dreams of the perfect family, perfect husband, perfect house and children. So when she gets pregnant to a guy
she hardly knows, she thinks everything is falling into place.
That is until her friends can't relate to her anymore, her mum leaves her to
fend for herself and her boyfriend deserts her. Lana is then forced to face the
reality of her baby and the fact that you’re only young once.

Dyan Sheldon's highly original viewpoint of a teenage girls struggle with pregnancy
and a baby is an eye opener to what really can happen.

I recommend this book to girls from the age of 12 to 18.

All Lara wants is to be grown up, she can’t stand everybody bossing her around any more. She wants to be independent and live on her own with a husband and kids. When Lara turns fifteen she meets the man of her dreams “Les” whom she hopes is her future husband. When Lara finds herself pregnant everything looks like it’s all starting to fit together. But will her dreams of a loving husband and perfect children really become reality and live up to its expectations?

And Baby Makes Two shows how hard it really is for a single teenage mother going through a lot of changes in her life. It also shows that what you wish for doesn’t always come true. This novel is a realistic fiction and I give it an 8/10; people over the age of 12 should read and enjoy this striking novel.
