Cynthia Lee Mariner is an outstanding windsurfer. One day when she is surfing she finds a bottle, and when she opens it out pops King Sinbad in genie form. Like most genie books she gets three wishes but she decides to wish for very different things.

This is a very interesting and entertaining book, full of mystery and adventure. The book has a slow and very typical start. As you get further on in the book it gets more entertaining and creative. Janeen Webb has used a lot of imagination and creativity. It has supernatural elements; if you like mermaids and water spirits this is definitely the book for you. The style, genre and storyline are excellent; the characters are way out there.

I would mainly recommend this book for girls although some boys may like it. I reckon kids from 10 – 15 or even older would like this book.
