Telly Craven lives on a windfarm in Pell Mell, England.  She has been a Weather Eye for six months. The Weather Eye is an international group that uses the internet to share information about the weather.  Strange things have been reported like floods, earthquakes and ten force gales. Race (Telly's little brother) is scared of the wind and petrified of drafts, which is kind of amusing considering that his family live on a wind farm.  During a fierce storm, Race becomes worried about his rabbits and convinces Telly to go out into the storm to check on his pets. While checking the hutch a huge turbine wind blade is ripped from its mounting and crashes down on top of her.

Pat, Telly's father, takes her to hospital where a doctor tells him that Telly had suffered a Near Death Experience (NDE). Later, Telly finds that she has psychic powers and among other things can tell how long people will live.

Lesley Howarth is one of those authors that makes you feel as though you have met her characters.  She also presents possibilities that leave you thinking about the things that might go wrong in the future. The book is easy to read and has a happy ending. It is such a good story that you won't want to put it down once you begin reading.
