It has clear objectives and instructions The BayCon Group offer a free online tutorial in Excel basics. It covers everything you need to know to get started. The University of South Dakota has several online help pages. This one takes you through an understanding of what a spreadsheet is, then moves into specific examples of how to use Excel

Florida Gulf Coast University provides an online tutorial for Office 2000, which includes information about Excel.
This tutorial was written by a teacher and gives you a quick overview of Excel using a class list and record keeping as an example. The University of Victoria, in Canada, has three files you can download to help you learn about Excel. Choose from 'The Basics', 'Beyond the Basics' and 'Keeping Track of Student Grades'.You can download it and work through it at your leisure. It is written for PC, so you will have to substitute some commands, like right-clicking a mouse button.
