Jessie, Amber & Tamykah, 234 Heysen, Humpty Doo PS,
NT] One day there were three owners and they had a bunny and one day, one of the owners named Tamykah came out to feed it. But it was gone and she went to tell Jessie. [Paul Collins, Author] “Jessie, I told you the latch was loose!” Tamykah still clutched
the bunny’s food. The three wilting cabbage leaves seemed to add to her
misery. “We’ll never find Rufus now!” [By
Jessie, Amber & Tamykah, 234 Heysen, Humpty Doo PS,
NT] “Come on you guys”, said Amber, ‘Stop sooking and let’s go and
look.” They looked down the driveway and across the road and down to the
river. They saw a dog with Rufus in his mouth. Was it too late to save
Rufus? I’m afraid it was too late. The three girls were very sad. Poor Rufus was
dead. “Holey, Moley,” said Amber. “What should we do?” wailed Tamykah. “I have an idea,” said Jessie, “Run for your lives!” ‘Oh No! It’s dead,’ cried Tamykah ‘It will be Okay’ said Amber, ‘It’s your birthday soon and I will get you another one.’ ‘Just like Rufus?’ asked Tamykah. She was fond of her rabbit. ‘Yes, just like Rufus,’ said Amber. Jessie comforted Tamykah all the way home. Not long after, the girls did get another rabbit. They loved him and looked after him very carefully. They were all happy again.
