[By Gail, Heidi & Ben, 234 Heysen, Humpty Doo, NT] There were three boys and three girls hiding in the African jungle.
Suddenly, they were kidnapped by a monkey. The monkey’s name was
Ape. They were scared. “What is going on?’ [By Bill Condon, Author] The chittering of monkeys surrounded them. They sprang from every
tree, crowding around the children, herding them into the jungle. Then
there was a deep gurgling sound, and pounding footsteps, thudding into the
ground – STOMP – STOMP – STOMP. The children gazed in terrified awe at the
creature before them. It was half gorilla – half man. It was covered in
spiky bristles. It was huge. It was staring at them. And they were too
scared to move. [By
Gail, Heidi & Ben, 234 Heysen, Humpty Doo,
NT] He took them back to the monkey’s tree-house. It got darker and
darker. The children were locked in a big den at the bottom of the
tree-house. They kept banging on the bamboo
door. ‘HELP” Nobody heard them except the other
animals. Who is going to help them now? [Still being written ……]
