5 4 3 2 1 Blast Off! Went the little rabbit with his toy spaceship. I know what we can do, we could ask Mum if we could build a real one.

“Mum, Mum” they called.

But there was no answer.

“Let’s go look in the garden,” said Robert.

So they hopped to the garden.

They didn’t see their Mum but they heard banging from the shed. They peered inside and saw Dad making a chair.

“Do you know where Mum is?” they asked.

“No, we’d better go and find her.”

So off they hopped. Then they heard a noise not far away.

So they hopped around the corner. But there was nothing there! So they hopped back to their Dad, very upset.

‘Your Mum’s no dumb bunny,’ said their Dad, pointing skyward. Slowly, Robert and the gang followed their Dad’s gaze. A curdling smoke haze was shooting skyward.

‘Mum!’ they all screamed at once.

Then they heard a noise coming to the ground. It was their Mum. She said, ‘You spoilt the surprise!’

Their Mum came down in a rocket just for them. They had their very own rocket after all. The little bunnies were very excited and couldn’t wait very long for their turn in the rocket.

And their adventures into Space had just begun.
